* When replacing the tire pressure warning ECU, read the transmitter IDs stored in the old ECU using the Techstream and note

them down before removal.

* It is necessary to perform the initialization See: Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Tire Monitoring

System/Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Initialization (from 12/2010) after the registration See:

Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Tire Monitoring System/Testing and Inspection/Programming and

Relearning/Registration (from 12/2010) of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU if the ECU has been

replaced.

PROCEDURE

1. CONFIRM REGISTRATION CONDITION (REGISTERED ID CODES)

(a) Set the air pressure of all the wheels to the specified value See: Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Tire Monitoring

System/Service Precautions/Precaution (from 12/2010).

(b) Make sure that the ignition switch is off.

(c) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(d) Turn the ignition switch on (IG).

(e) Turn the Techstream on.

(f) Check the values by referring to the table below. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Tire Pressure Monitor / Data List.

Tire Pressure Monitor:

*1: Displayed only when the ID No. is not registered.

(g) Check the ID No. on the identified transmitter by removing it from the tire and wheel.

OK:

The registered transmitter ID codes are displayed on the Techstream display.

NG -- PERFORM REGISTRATION (TRANSMITTER ID)

OK -- REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU See: Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Tire Monitoring

System/Tire Pressure Module/Service and Repair/Removal (from 12/2010)

2. PERFORM REGISTRATION (TRANSMITTER ID)

(a) Register the transmitter IDs for all the wheels See: Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Tire Monitoring

System/Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Registration (from 12/2010).

3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (TIRE INFLATION PRESSURE)

(a) Set the air pressure of all the wheels to the specified value See: Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Tire Monitoring
